FIRE SAFETY REMINDER

Montgomery County Code mandates: NO PARKING ANYTIME WITHIN 15 FEET OF A FIRE HYDRANT OR WITHIN 35 FEET OF AN INTERSECTION.

Anyone parking within such areas, even during paving work, is putting numerous houses at risk of being destroyed by fire. Vehicles could be subject to towing and/or a $50 fine.

These are challenging times when it comes to parking in Cabin John Gardens. The Board of Directors understands that everyone is being asked to park in crowded and unfamiliar places due to the paving project, and we all must avoid the temporary no-parking zones, when requested for paving work, to avoid having our vehicles towed. However, the permanent no-parking areas around fire hydrants and street corners must be kept clear at all times, even if there is no other parking available on the street due to paving, and even if the old markings that designated these no-parking areas are gone.
